I embarked on my journey in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a deep interest in developing circuitry and a curiosity to learn more about Telecommunication and Computer Networking. As I progressed through the course, I discovered my natural talents in Logic Development, Automation, and Computer Engineering. Towards the end of my undergraduate studies, I delved into the fascinating field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence through several related projects, and was amazed by the vast potential it offered.
I carefully chose my final year project to align with my interests and skillset, which involved developing a Plant Recognition System that used deep learning on leaf images. Through extensive experimentation and expert guidance, I was able to optimize the code for hyperparameters and computational power requirements, making it possible for the system to run on low compute power devices like the Raspberry Pi. This portability made it a feasible solution for real-world use cases.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to present my research paper on this project at an international conference, and even more so when it won the best paper award. This achievement reinforced my passion for exploring the intersection of these fields, and inspired me to continue making meaningful contributions to the industry.

The internship took place onsite in Mysore, which required me to travel from my hometown. It was my first experience living away from home and working in a professional setting. Fortunately, three of my friends also secured internships at the same company, and we had the opportunity to stay together.
Mysore, with its rich historical significance as a former princely state, offered numerous sites and attractions to explore. After work and on weekends, my friends and I took the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the city’s cultural and historical landmarks. This blend of professional growth during the internship and the personal adventure of exploring Mysore made the experience both rewarding and unforgettable.
